Jumeirah Zabeel Saray - New Year’s Eve 2016

The Brief

In December 2016, Jumeirah Zabeel Saray appointed George & Burnell Events to design and manage their New Year’s Eve celebrations on the Al Fresco Lawn of the Hotel. The event started with an arrival reception in the main lobby followed by dinner in various restaurants of the hotel and finally an after dinner party on the Al Fresco lawn. The event would host 1,000 of the hotel’s high profile guests.

The Approach

In understanding the client’s brief, expectations and the profile of their guests, we proposed the theme of “Iconic Old Hollywood” re-creating the glamour and art déco style of Hollywood’s Golden Age. We used Red, Black, White and Gold in our design of the venue and combined it with art deco style furnishings and accessories. Our entertainment programme also captured the theme with bespoke dancers costumes and specifically choreographed dance routines and music.
